Yoga Pranayama and Relaxation
At Breathe for Transformation, each class offers a structured Traditional Hatha Yoga practice rooted in Indian teachings and delivered through a modern, trauma-sensitive understanding. As an Indian practitioner, I teach from the depth of the culture I was raised in, adapting it with care to the community I now serve. Sessions follow a clear framework while remaining responsive to the students present and how they arrive each week. We begin with asana to build strength, stability, and embodied awareness. From there, breath awareness may develop into introductory pranayama where appropriate. Some weeks the emphasis remains on movement and integration rather than formal breathwork. Chanting is woven into the practice to cultivate focus and internal steadiness. Surya Namaskar vinyasa and other traditional sequences form part of the practice, so some level of mobility and flexibility is required. This is an established group with over three years of shared commitment. The sessions suit practitioners who value consistency, depth, and an authentic Indian approach to Hatha Yoga. Limited drop-in spaces may be available and require prior confirmation. Each session concludes with Shavasana, a conscious and disciplined resting practice that allows the body and breath to settle, supports nervous system regulation, and enables full integration of the class. Regular students report improved strength and balance, clearer focus, emotional steadiness, better sleep, and a stronger connection between mind and body.
