Client Confidentiality

All information shared during sessions is treated with the utmost care and respect. Your privacy is central to the work we do together.

When Confidentiality May Be Limited
In rare circumstances, it may be necessary to share information to ensure safety and wellbeing. These circumstances include:

  • Risk of harm to yourself or others

  • Concerns about abuse or neglect of a vulnerable person, such as a child, dependent adult, or carer

  • Consultation with your GP, therapist, or other care providers

Information is shared only with your knowledge and consent wherever possible, in line with trauma-informed principles that prioritise safety, choice, and empowerment.

Information Sharing and Contacts
To support your wellbeing, you may be asked to provide:

  • Contact details for your GP, therapist, or other care providers

  • An emergency contact or nominated first responder

  • Details of a carer, if relevant

Who Information May Be Shared With
Depending on the situation and level of risk, and with your consent where possible, information may be shared with:

  • Local safeguarding authorities

  • Your GP or mental health provider

  • Emergency services, including the police, if there is immediate risk

  • Your nominated carer or emergency contact

All disclosures are made with care, professional integrity, and respect for your confidentiality. The priority is always your safety, wellbeing, and ongoing support.
