Alternatives to Talking Therapy for Trauma and Emotional Healing When people think about therapy, talking is often the first option that comes to mind. For many, this can be helpful. However, when experiences involve trauma, chronic stress, grief, or long-term emotional overwhelm, talking alone may not always feel sufficient. Trauma does not only affect thoughts and emotions. Research and clinical practice show that it also shapes the nervous system, breathing patterns, muscle tension, sleep, and our sense of safety in the body. This can lead to symptoms such as anxiety, chronic tension, fatigue, pain, emotional numbness, or a feeling of disconnection from oneself. Breathe For Transformation offers trauma-informed, body–mind therapeutic sessions that work directly with these physical and emotional patterns. With over seven years of professional experience, I support individuals experiencing anxiety, low mood, trauma responses, chronic stress, and nervous system overload to gently reconnect with their bodies, restore balance, and build practical tools for everyday emotional resilience. Sessions combine breathwork, somatic awareness, gentle movement, and sound-based practices to support nervous system regulation. This body-based approach recognises how stress and trauma are held in the body and prioritises safety, pacing, and choice. There is no pressure to relive or retell past experiences. Instead, sessions focus on what is happening in the body in the present moment and how to support regulation and stability from there. I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, migraine, fibromyalgia, chronic stress and fatigue, and sleep difficulties. I also support wellbeing and mind–body professionals who wish to deepen their understanding of nervous system regulation for personal or professional development. What sets my work apart is a focus on practical, sustainable change. Clients learn skills they can apply beyond sessions to support regulation, resilience, and wellbeing in daily life. The approach is grounded, ethical, and evidence-informed, offering a supportive alternative or complement to conventional talk-based support, within a calm and respectful environment where change can unfold at a steady and manageable pace.


Cancellation Policy

Breathe For Transformation prioritises safety, consent, and reliability in our trauma-informed private online 1:1 yoga sessions. Advance booking is required to prepare a personalised experience tailored to your unique needs. Booking All sessions must be booked in advance (no drop-ins). Confirm in-person or online format when booking. New clients: Start with a free 20-minute discovery call to discuss goals, needs, and suitability. Session Types & Payment Single Sessions (60 mins) Offered on a sliding scale for accessibility. Contribute an amount that reflects your financial situation while honouring the session's value (guidance available on request). Payment due at booking. Block Sessions (3 or 6 sessions) Discounted rate for upfront commitment, promoting consistency. Sliding scale options discussed. Full payment required before first session. Cancellations & Rescheduling Single Sessions 24+ hours notice: Full credit or reschedule. 12–24 hours: 50% fee retained. Under 12 hours or no-show: Full fee non-refundable. Block Sessions 24+ hours: Reschedule within block. Under 24 hours: Session counted as used (no refunds for unused blocks, but discuss exceptions). Frequent late cancellations may limit future availability due to the personalised preparation involved. Late Arrivals Arrive/log in on time—sessions end at scheduled time to respect the calendar.
